the charlie awards

The Charlie Awards are the Council's annual fundraising gala. The Charlies celebrate local businesses and individuals who revitalize and unite the Hollywood community through programming, architecture, public art, and other innovations. Funding from the Charlie Awards helps support Project SOAR, the Council's initiative providing free arts education (including visual arts, performing arts, and music) to local underserved public schools, and our annual Children's Festival of the Arts. The Awards are a chance to celebrate achievements in the arts and to prepare for another year of service to the community.

The 31st Annual Charlie Awards

Honoring Olivia de havilland

2017 Charlie info

THANK YOU TO OUR SUPPORTERS AND GUESTS FOR THE 2017 CHARLIE AWARDS!

The 31st Annual Charlie Awards celebrates the arts and cultures in our backyard. Technicolor and the Hollywood Arts Council honors Olivia de Havilland for her outstanding lifetime of work, Kerry Morrison was awarded for being Hollywood's neighborhood warrior and Councilmember Mitch O'Farrell was awarded as our Hollywood Hero! Guests mixed and mingled with neighbors, the movers and shakers of Hollywood, in an evening of food, drink, and excellent company at the historic Hollywood Palladium. This event featured an awards ceremony hosted by Nikki Boyer and live art by Reba AlexanderAbbey GoldenPaul Juno, and Jerry Richardson.

The Hollywood Arts Council then celebrated the arts and new kids on the block with a block party!
