Making A Difference in Our Community Through the Arts

Our mission is to promote, nurture and support the arts in Hollywood.

Ceramics:
Various methods of hand-building with clay; glazing and firing.

Drawing:
Painting, pastel techniques combined with sketch. This class was developed as a direct request from students.

Dance:
Elements of dance; dance techniques.

Malleable Metals:
Metal embossing and painting.

Mask-making:
Plaster and paper-mache mask building, background lessons on the symbolism of masks and their use in different cultures.

Metalworking/Jewelry making:
Metalworking techniques, bead work, wearable art.

Multimedia:
Variety of materials, focus on discovery that creativity has no boundaries.
Painting: All forms of painting lessons are available. Recently expanded to include large-scale murals.

Performance:
Theatrical techniques, imagination exercises, role-playing.

Photography:
Exploring emotional expression through photography and writing. Each child creates a book about “Photos and Feelings”.

Rhythm and Music Making:
Musicantica, handmade instruments, collaborative "orchestra."

Each class has been developed in collaboration with principals and program directors of participating schools to facilitate the requests of each particular institution.
