GOALS AND OBJECTIVES

The following goals and objectives have been generated at the Arts Roundtable::

• Maximize limited resources--money and people
  
  
• Develop a resource center for non-profits, including a library of fund-raising materials, computers, free parking

• Hotline for resources
• List businesses that are resources
• Assist in developing a barter system for organizations seeking items for productions

Advocacy


• Coalition building and organizational support to advocate for preserving historic infrastructure in Hollywood
• Advocate for a live/workspace ordinance for Hollywood,  and support the development of such a building
• Advocacy to California Arts Council, Cultural Affairs Dept., L. A. County Arts Commission, (granting procedures and forms, etc.)
• Media advocacy  -  more coverage for  the arts and local productions
• Disseminate economic information on the impact of the arts on local economy
• Conduct a survey of Hollywood - how many artists are there?

• Coordinate efforts and "cross-pollinate" ideas
Disseminate information on available funding for public programs, social services programming and security services
• Space bank listing available spaces (donated or for rent) for meetings, performances, exhibitions, etc. including empty store fronts for temporary galleries
